The KavliNDI Distinguished Graduate Fellowship enables mid- and advanced stage graduate student trainees at Johns Hopkins University to pursue cross-disciplinary research, aligned with the mission of the Kavli Neuroscience Discovery Institute (Kavli NDI), in neuroscience, engineering, and data science.

The Kavli Neuroscience Discovery Institute supports initiatives that bridge neuroscience, physics, data science and engineering to solve the mysteries of the brain. The Kavli NDI Summer Internship Program (SIP) at Johns Hopkins University is a 10-week program that provides experience in research laboratories to students of diverse backgrounds, including underrepresented minority students and students from economically disadvantaged, underserved backgrounds that have completed two or more years of college. This Program focuses on providing young scientists unique research opportunities to synthesize knowledge from multiple disciplines, thereby expanding the horizons of their own expertise and technical skills. Through this initiative, the Kavli NDI aims to provide transformative training for a new generation of transdisciplinary neuroscientists, engineers, and data scientists equipped to meet tomorrow’s research challenges. Post-baccalaureate Research Program Opportunities

The Hopkins Post-baccalaureate Research Education Program (PREP) is centered on developing a diverse pool of well-trained post-baccalaureates who will transition into and complete rigorous research-focused doctoral degree programs. Kavli NDI will join with Hopkins Post-baccalaureate Research Education Program (PREP) to support upto two scholars interested in working in Kavli NDI labs.

Kavli NDI Visiting Scientist Program Subtitle Honorarium Deadline: closed. The primary goal of the Kavli NDI Visiting Scientist Program is to enrich research at Johns Hopkins University by supporting short-term visits by external scientists to Johns Hopkins laboratories. The program will promote scholarly exchange and establish new collaborations between the visiting scholars and the Johns Hopkins community. This call invites proposals from current faculty of Johns Hopkins University to invite a non-Hopkins affiliated scientist to spend a minimum of one week at Johns Hopkins University. Hopkins faculty host applicants should contact their prospective candidate visitor directly to develop their proposal prior to submitting an application. To increase impact, it is expected that the Kavli Visiting Scientist will interact with the broader Hopkins community during the visit, by presenting a seminar, hosting a workshop, or chairing a discussion group.
